Following a generous donation, Foret de le Caperdu has recently acquired nearly 17 acres of farmland for re-wilding. The land is contiguous with the existing project and includes 14 mature oak trees and is situated on a South-facing slope.
We have named this acquisition the "Three Farthings" as a nod to Lord of the Rings and UK heritage.
We are optimistic that our accelerated natural regeneration scheme will enable us to plant trees leading to the capture of approximately 1,300 tonnes of carbon and provide habitat for a variety of indigenous wildlife.
